A naturally sweet wine fresh and elegant!

Presentation

Presentation
Since 2006, the Quiot family has been dedicated to unlocking the potential of Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, drawn to the distinctive character of the Dentelles de Montmirail and the uniqueness of this terroir. With this cuvée, they have created a Vin Doux Naturel that remains true to their core values: respect for tradition, a commitment to quality, and meticulous craftsmanship.
Location
In the heart of the Rhône Valley, Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise holds a special place among the world-renowned natural sweet wines. Made exclusively from the Muscat à petits grains grape variety, it is grown on historic terraces that were once planted with olive trees, some of which still stand today.
Terroir
The estate cultivates a single 2-hectare plot located on the southern slope of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The clay-limestone soils, mixed with sandy-clay “blonde soils” formed by the erosion of safre (dating from the Miocene), give the wine balance, finesse, and aromatic intensity.
In the vineyard
The vineyard is planted exclusively with Muscat à petits grains white. Vineyard management emphasizes a meticulous approach, with harvesting done entirely by hand in successive passes to ensure the grapes are picked at peak ripeness. Each batch achieves a minimum natural sugar content of 252 g/l, guaranteeing concentration and varietal expression.
Harvest
100% hand-harvested (with careful selection of the grapes) when the sugar content exceeds 252 g/L.
Winemaking
Winemaking begins according to the principles of dry white wine production, with direct pressing and fermentation conducted at low temperatures to preserve the wine’s aromatic purity. Sweetening occurs during fermentation, through the addition of 96% neutral alcohol, when the must reaches an alcohol content of between 5% and 10%. This process preserves the natural sugar content, resulting in a final balance characterized by a minimum of 15% actual alcohol and 100 g/L of residual sugar.
